The internationally-acclaimed jazz pianist, songwriter and singer has performed for the annual fundraising event for the past five years.
Tickets were sold out in advance and the capacity audience of 100 raised more than £1,000 towards building works to re-roof and refurbish Redford Village Hall.

Thermal insulation, replacement doors, windows and upgrade of the electrics have joined the roof replacement priority. The work should be completed this time next year.”
During the cheese and wine supper, a generous donation towards the refurbishment was presented by the Grange Community Association, a Midhurst-based charity. The association’s objective is to enable residents to enjoy a healthy lifestyle as well as a relaxed and rewarding life.
Mr Lovett added: “This is the latest award providing essential support for a thinly-populated rural community. The hall provides a small building for public hire and is used weekly for yoga classes and occasionally for cycling club event support.”
Redford Village Hall has pre-fabricated wooden sections with a roof of asbestos sheeting. Eight grant funds have been awarded in addition to fundraising, meaning two-thirds of the estimated costs are secured.
