Midhurst's favourite photo chosen

Work by members of the club, who range from complete beginners to professionals, went on show at Midhurst Methodist Church hall, in North Street, over the August bank holiday weekend.
The exhibition was part of the Madhurst Festival.
Winner Judi Lion said that she took the picture of Blea Tarn during a photography course based in Keswick in May last year.

Hide Ad“We had to be up and on our way by 2.15am in order to catch the sunrise,” she said.
“Fortunately, by the time we arrived at Blea Tarn, the light was just right.”
Midhurst Camera Club’s 2016/17 season begins on September 7, 7.30pm to 10pm, with a special welcome event for new members.
The club meets twice a month for a speaker and competition evening, with a third evening devoted to practical workshops. Most meetings and workshops are held in the Meeting Room at Cowdray Hall, off Easebourne Street, Easebourne.

Hide AdThere will be a speaker evening with Tony Worobeic on September 21 at 7.30pm, on the subject Fragments of an American Dream.
Tony is a Fellow of the Royal Photographic Society with work in the permanent collection of The Royal, The Fox Talbot Museum and in numerous private collections in the UK, Europe, Japan and America.
This month’s practical evening will be a workshop on September 28 at 7.30pm.
