Party time as crowds flock to East Preston
The village’s Royal British Legion Club again organised the successful blend of live music, a keenly-contested tug of war competition, children’s activities, real ale marquee, boules, birds of prey, cream teas and a barbecue.
The Clockhouse bar team pulled its weight to win the tug of war, against the Sea View Hotel, the Tudor Tavern and the legion club, while the wome’s event, held for the first time, was won by the Sea View.

In the boules doubles competition, 10 teams competed for The Royal British Legion Club Shield, with the final between Blodens and The Booty Bombers. Father and son, Phil and William Bolden beat father and daughter, Chris and Jayne Booty.
