Hide AdWest Sussex County Council carried out a desktop study which said the visibility splay was the required 43m and concluded it had no highway safety concerns.
After a meeting on Tuesday, the parish council submitted its comments to the district council.
“The proposed new vehicular access is on a bend and the plan showing the visibility splay does not take into account that residents’ cars are parked nearing the bend which makes it impossible for the visibility splay of 43m to be achieved,” it said.
“It is a safety issue for pedestrians, children and cars if this access is allowed.

Residents of Bedford Avenue have also submitted their objections and concerns calling it an ‘accident waiting to happen’.
They said it was a busy road with parked cars used by children and disabled residents and the company vans and employee vehicles at the back of the property limited visibility.
