A total of 23 members of Run Academy Worthing set out to run, walk, swim, cycle and even horse ride 1,500 miles as their contribution to the Motor Neurone Disease Association’s Mission 5000 challenge.
In the end, they managed more than 2,100 miles and have raised £3,100 to date.

The cause was particularly close to the club’s heart this year as the husband of one of the runners passed away on August 1, aged 54.
Many members felt the challenge would be the perfect way to celebrate the life of Stuart Acaster, as well as raising much-needed funds and, more importantly, awareness, of the disease.
