A person has died after being hit by a train between Chichester and Havant, police have confirmed.
The incident happened at Southbourne station yesterday afternoon (Wednesday, April 7).
The death is not being treated as suspicious, police said.
A spokesman for British Transport Police said: "Officers were called to Southbourne station at 12.22pm following reports of a casualty on the tracks.
"Paramedics also attended, however sadly a person has been pronounced dead at the scene.
"Officers are now working to identify the deceased and inform their next of kin."
