Rother takes silver in emissions league table

ROTHER has come second in the county in a league table ranking authorities by their CO2 emissions.

Government figures released recently reveal the carbon footprint of the five borough and district councils in East Sussex, highlighting the amount of CO2 emitted by council run buildings and vehicles.

Rother District Council (RDC) emitted a total of 2,777 tonnes of CO2, coming second to Eastbourne Borough Council, who gave off 2,269.2 tonnes.
