Luckless Henfield only just short of the mark again away at Bognor
Bognor’s pro Sam Taylor’s knock of 92 provided the baulk of their 205-9.
In reply Scott Pedersen hit a patient 48 before Craig Scott’s rapid 38 put Henfield in with a good chance of victory, but in the end they fell just short, ending on 190-7.

Hide AdDespite failing to win any of their opening seven games skipper Brett Moore feels a change in fortunes isn’t too far off. He said: “It’s not like we’ve been thrashed by anyone, we’ve either just not had that bit of luck, or just been shy of chasing totals in a couple of games. We were looking good for a win against bottom side Arundel before it was washed out. One win will drastically improve our position, it’s a case of when not if it will come so we have to be patient.”
Henfield’s overseas all-rounder Brighton Mugochi took 4-63 as the visitors took wickets around the excellent Taylor. And a ninth wicket stand of 40 also swelled their total over 200. In reply Mugochi also contributed 34 but the four extra batting overs Bognor had proved decisive.
Henfield have a 30 point cushion over basement boys Arundel.
