The town's 24th festival kicked off on Saturday (June 21) to the tune of The Millennium Band and the rhythmic toe-tapping of a troupe of Irish dancers.

Town centre spectators watched Saturday's show in Queen's Square with Crawley's new Mayor Howard Bloom and his wife Sue.

The festival's fun-packed programme runs from June 21 to Sunday July 6 featuring 'a medley of music, dance' and other activities.
