CRAWLEY Town drew 1-1 with Weymouth on Saturday in very boggy conditions at the Broadfield Stadium.
Downpours in the morning left the pitch in a very poor state with puddles and water all over the pitch.

However hard work from the stewards saw the game go ahead.

The Reds went 1-0 down to a 25-yard wonder strike from Simon Weatherstone on 24 minutes before Kieran Murphy replied for the Reds on 40 minutes to make it 1-1.

The impressive Tyrone Thompson had a couple of glorious chances to give Crawley the lead but couldn't beat the in-form Henderson in goal.

Crawley should have had a penalty in the dying minutes of the game when Dannie Bulman appeared to be shoved over by Scott Doe but the referee waved play on.

Returning to the starting 11 on Saturday were Jamie Stevens and Jamie Cook, while Jon-Paul Pittman missed out again with an injury.

For full match report and pictures see Wednesday's Crawley Observer.

Jamie Cook and Jamie Stevens returned to the starting line-up after missing the 3-0 defeat to Histon last Tueday.
