Celtic showstopper
Ethereal, graceful and colourful, with her waist-length red hair and Celtic tattoos, Beck Siàn will visit The Hawth Studio on Thursday, June 5.
An award-winning songwriter with a breathtaking voice, she can silence an audience with her vocal agility as she takes them on a journey through songs of storms, nature, loves lost, and a ghost story or two.
Born in Melbourne, Australia, but now based in the UK, her original songs speak of secret gardens, ghosts, loves lost and memories.
Her music is described as having a Celtic thread, a world music vibe, and a touch of gothic darkness and fantasy. Her influences are Loreena McKennitt, Clannad and her cousin Kate Bush.
Beck also performs interpretations of traditional songs such as Down By the Salley Gardens, She Moved Through the Faire, Black is the Colour and The Last Rose of Summer.
She's also charismatic, convivial and funny on stage.
