Zeekay, 20, from Lindfield, started singing songs in his bedroom before saving up nearly £30,000 to film a video shot in Clapham's award winning
Lost Society venue.

The determined young artist has been planning his rise up the R'n'B charts for the last 18 months and is ready to take the UK by storm.

He said: "My first single, My Moment, is very commercial.

"It's been played on Radio One and has also been picked up by commercial radio station KISS FM.

"The first track I'm releasing is the only R'n'B track on the album, the rest of it is more focussed on dance and pop, and each song has a bit of a different sound."

The track has already been played on MTV Base ahead of the songs release on August 30, which is already available to pre-order digitally on iTunes.

During his short career, 20-year-old Zeekay has already co written and vocally produced "Baby" (dil deewana) for US R'n'B star Ginuwine.

And he has recently supported US acts on tour including Mario, Bobby V and Ginuwine. He is now looking forward to the next phase of his career.

In 2007 he put his economics degree on hold to pursue his aspirations as a solo artist.

He soon signed a production deal with the highly acclaimed Mr Skills, creator of Big Brovaz, with who he has been working on his debut album.

Zeekay added: "It hasn't been easy as I had to give up uni to do this and I've been planning this moment, my moment, for the last two years.

"I started off in my bedroom, sending out emails to places and established myself with companies in America."

Since then Zeekay has had several producers work on his album to give it a broad and interesting sound.
