THE WINGSPAN continue to host more great live music with a special performance by legendary Jimmy R Johnson in June.
The guitarist has quite a back catalogue of artists that he has performed with over the years including the Rolling Stones, Aretha Franklin, Cher and Wilson Pickett.

His son Jay Johnson is in the band Blackfoot and they have joined up to form the band Swampland.

Jo Apps from the club said: "They are rather big in America and wanted to play some gigs over here and I have managed to secure them, with the help of Carl Brooks, for June 7.

"They are only over in the UK for 10 days in June so it should be a good gig and Blackfoot are currently in America's Southern Rock All Stars."

Tickets are priced £5 each with all the proceeds going to St Thomas' Children Hospital and are available from the club by calling (01293) 462383.

Local band Chinchillazilla will be playing the club on Friday May 30.
