TALENTED performers are needed to tread the boards at Mainstage,
the Crawley Festival finale, on Saturday
July 5.
A large covered stage and massive sound system will be set up in Memorial Gardens, and acts will be preforming throughout the day.

Event organisers are currently on the look out for talented local acts to complete the line-up.

They are particularly keen to hear from bands or musical acts who
would like to fill a 20 minute slot.

The 24th annual Crawley Festival will be launched on Saturday 21 June with a medley of music, dance and other activities in Queens
Square.

The festival runs for two weeks and will feature a variety of cultural and sporting events.

These range from football and gymnastics, walking and historic visits,
to music, theatre and dance.

For those who would rather wait in the wings, Mainstage also features
loads of workshops, including street dance, drama, African drumming, Irish dance, singing art, crafts and photography.

And there will be exhibitions and street theatre characters to add to the carnival atmosphere.

Entrance to the event and all of the activities is completely free.

Anyone interested in performing on the Mainstage should contact Tony
Witton, event director through the festival website at www.crawleyfestival.co.uk

A full line up of all the festival acts will be published shortly.

The Observer reporting team will also be out during the event taking
photographs and filming videos for www.crawleyobserver.co.uk
