Anglo-Italian award-winning vocalist Georgia Mancio, returns to The Hawth on Saturday June 7 after her highly acclaimed 2006 show.
Georgia will perform an intriguing blend of jazz standards, Brazilian classics, Chilean folk and popular Cuban and Italian songs.

This is Georgia's second visit to the Hawth and is joined by Crawley-born drummer and co-producer of new album Trapez
e, Dave Ohm.

A highly respected performer on the UK jazz scene, Georgia's engagements have included the London Jazz Festival (singing with Bobby McFerrin) amongst others and she's also making a name for herself on the continent, performing at many European venues and festivals.

She will be accompanied by John Pearce (piano), Dave Green (double bass) and Dave Ohm (drums).

Georgia's second album Trapeze has cemented her position as one of the UK's brightest young jazz stars. Since turning professional in 2000 she has performed with: Bobby McFerrin (2003 London Jazz Festival); Sheila Jordan and David Linx (Belgium 2006); Liane Carroll and most recently in concert with Ian Shaw, Norma Winstone and Anita Wardell (The True Jazz Voice, Poole).

She is also making a name for herself on the continent having won first prize at the First Brussels International Young Jazz Singers' Competition in 2005 and subsequently playing venues and festivals in Italy, Belgium and Portugal (including a live T.V. performance on Culture Club).

Tickets are priced £12 (discounts £10) and are available online from www.hawth.co.uk or from the box office on (01293) 553636.
