LDC WILD: Lewes District Council is holding a nature-themed treasure hunt entitled LDC Wild at nature reserves, parks and green spaces across the district during the school summer holidays. Residents, particularly families and young people are invited to visit participating locations to hunt for the creature pictures hidden throughout. Tweet a photo of yourself with one of the creatures to @LewesDC using the hashtag #LDCWildto be entered into a weekly draw to win a nature-themed prize.

LDC Wild aims to encourage residents and visitors to the district to get out and discover the beautiful and varied green spaces the district has to offer while taking part in a fun and educational activity.

Discover our creatures this summer at Landport Bottom, Nevill Road, Lewes, Friday to Thursday, August 5 to 11; Meeching Down Local Wildlife Site, Newhaven, Friday to Thursday, August 12 to 18; Centenary Park (The Big Park), Peacehaven, Friday to Thursday, August 19 to 25; Castle Hill Local Nature Reserve, Newhaven, Friday August 26 to Thursday September 1; The Railway Land Local Nature Reserve, Lewes, Friday to Thursday, September 2 to 8.

WI: Telscombe Cliffs Women’s Institute meet on the second Wednesday of each month from 2pm to 4pm in the Civic Centre.
