UPDATE: Woman's body found on Bexhill beach

A woman's body was found on the beach in Bexhill and was declared dead at the scene this afternoon (Tuesday, May 10), according to police.

The body was spotted below Galley Hill at around 2.30pm and pulled ashore by a member of the public.

The Kent, Surrey and Sussex Air Ambulance was called at around 3.10pm after reports of a medical emergency.
