The club have invited every one of Southway’s 540 pupils to be guests at Nyewood Lane for their Ryman premier match against Brentwood Town on Saturday, February 13, and the school’s football team will lead both teams on to the pitch at the start of the game.
Both the club and Southway are looking at other ways in which the two can work more closely to benefit pupils and the football club, who are hoping this will encourage local children to become the club’s next generation of supporters.

Hide AdThe Rocks launched free season tickets for all local schoolchildren at the beginning of this season and although many have taken the club up on this offer, there is room for more.
An offer of a free season ticket for the remainder of this season is being made to every child at the school.
Matches at Nyewood Lane normally attract between 450 and 500 spectators and it is a safe yet exciting afternoon out for children. There is none of the crowd segregation present in the professional game and supporters from both sides mix happily together.
The initiative comes in a season in which the Rocks have reached the last 16 of the FA Trophy and got to the final qualifying round of the FA Cup. They’re also going well in the leagu, sitting in the play-off zone.
